Alzheimer’s Australia is the national peak body for people living with dementia, their families and carers and provides leadership in policy and services.

Care Services Directory lists aged care homes offering residential high and low care, supported accommodation and independent living units.

Carers Australia provides important services like counseling, advice, advocacy, education and training to carers. They promote the recognition of carers to governments, businesses and the wider public.

Dementia Collaborative Research Centres are an Australian Government initiative. Each centre focuses on a different area of dementia research:-

Assessment and Better Care based at UNSW.

Early Diagnosis and Prevention based at ANU.

Carers and Consumers based at QUT.

The Australian’s Governments’ Department of Health and Ageing website.

Interpreter Service 131 450 provides understanding and support for people with dementia, their family and carers, practical information and advice, up to date written material about dementia and details of the full range of services provided by Alzheimer’s Australia
